The Fire Island Lighthouse is looking for someone to design a poster for our upcoming plein air paint-out this coming May. Below is the text criteria for the poster. Please contact Carol Corbett if you have any questions… cmcorbett@optonline.net
Artists from the Wet Paints Studio Group will be painting 'en plein aire' on the grounds of the Fire Island Lighthouse on Saturday, May 12, 2012 (rain date will be May 19th).
The public is invited to come, stroll the grounds and meet the artists. The finished paintings will be displayed for sale in the Keeper's Quarters from May 13-May 23. (A percentage of the sales will be donated to the Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society.)
The basic facts are:

*Exhibit and sale of paintings in Keeper's Quarters from May 13 through May 23
*Percentage of sales to be donated to FILPS.
The Smithtown Historical Society is inviting all artists to participate in an Art Market. Exhibitors will be given a 6’ or 8’ table, and artists may bring a rack to display work. There is no fee charged, but the society will receive a 20% commission on sales. This will take place at the Brush Barn, Middle Country Rd., Smithtown: April 21 & 22, 2012.
